They just needed a bit of tweaking.
Last year I bought two DW Guardians (38 Super and .45auto) while in a buying frenzy that is hopefully almost over.
Although the Guardians are packed with many great features you might find on some similar guns from the semi custom makers, there were a few things that just drove me nuts, things I needed to change to make them to my liking.
First thing to go were the thin shadow grips. These things looked great but I can't shoot worth a damn with thin grips. For what ever reason I seem to push the POI to the left when ever I shoot with them. And with the exception of my Silverback, all my DW guns came with thin grips.:bang:

Next to go was the smooth MSH. ***! Who in there right minds would want smooth blackstrap in the palm of their hands. :bang::bang:
So I ordered and installed two Ed Brown checkered MSH's.
Much better now.
Last but most important was to replace the medium length trigger with a long smooth offering from Cylinder & Side. So now all is well. I mean I love these two Guardians. So much so that I am carrying one or the other almost exclusively. They are accurate, reliable, light weight and the iron clad Duty Treat finish still looks like it did when I first opened the case.
They just needed a bit of tweaking.
