Important note on any self-defense situation

There's an article going around today about a man who beat to death an intruder who was trying to rape his wife, who has now been arrested on manslaughter charges. Find the article here.

Clearly there's more details to be learned, but I think this points out something that needs to be remembered in a self-defense situation. The actions are self-defense until the point where the attacker stops the aggression. Any further actions can be deemed you initiating aggression against the attacker. It's the "shoot to stop" instead of the "shoot to kill" difference.
