Model 01091 at the 500 round mark
Just a report on my new model 01091,she is rite at the 500 round Mark after my range trip yesterday.there was only one failure to go into battery using the factory colt magazine that came with the gun.this trip all we used were Wilson 47d's and act mags.there were no malfunctions in nearly 400 rounds!!
The slide and frame are wearing in nice and slow,I like to run the first 1000 or so rounds with the gun heavily oiled.this has worked well for me in the past on other production guns.it does take longer and cost more but I load my own so the cost is cut way down.this long oily break in period has got the action on my 70 series repro worn buttery smooth!!
I'll keep you posted at the 1000 round mark as well.
