Rock Island Armory GI 1911 .45 failure

Hello,
I recently bought a RIA 1911 .45.
I went to shoot it last Friday (4-29-2016) and it seemed to work flawlessly.
I went today 5-2-2016 and had several malfunctions. The range aster inspected the firearm and said it was the slide spring was "collapsed". It did look really weird. He replaced it for a new one and it seemed to work better (for a while) until it failed again... I was able to correct the malfunctions (not seated round, not ejecting the empty shell, etc.

I have only shot around 70-75 rounds through it before it started to malfunction.
The range master said it needs to have all the springs replaced because they are cheap.

What are your thoughts on this? Is there a rebuild it available? The gun is simple enough in design for me to do the upgrade.
