Memorial Day is NOT "thank a vet" day

Even as a clergyman I see this all the time.

Memorial Day as a generic "thank a Vet or active duty." Well, we do that, it's called VETERAN'S DAY. And we should do that year 'round.

Memorial Day has one purpose. To remember those women and men of the US armed forces who died in service to their country.
