If no hammer bite on 1991, no hammer bite on Series 70?

If you have both a Series 80 1991 and a Series 70, can you tell me whether you get hammer bite on both, or neither?

I ask because I want a Series 70, but have been able to wrap my hand only around a 1991.

With my web jammed high up on the grip safety, and with the hammer pulled back as far as it will go, there's just a bit of daylight between the spur and my web, so I think I'm good on the 1991. Will I be on the Series 70?
