Starting to think about my first AR 15 and looking at what might be a good starter rifle. I live in an urban area so not sure how much I will be able to shoot it so not looking to spend a lot until I see it's getting used and until I get acquainted with the platform. 700ish is what I'm thinking.
In my looking around the Smith and Wesson Sport II has gotten so high praises. I've recently come across the Armalite Defensive or Defender series and wonder how they compare. They are a little more expensive but look to have a chrome lined barrel.
What are the advantages and disadvantages of these rifles? Which would you choose and why?
