Suppressor use in Home Defense.
So this is an offshoot from the thread about hearing protection in home defense situations. I started this thread as to not hijack the other one. In that post someone mentioned getting a suppressor (if the state allows it) and not worrying about ear pro. This sounds like a fantastic idea!! On the surface...
Has anyone heard of an instance that a suppressor was used in a HD situation? If so, how did it turn out legally? I would imagine that a prosecutor (if anti gun) would have a field day with this one. Painting the home owner as some crazed militia homegrown terrorist.
I have two suppressors, one for my 45 and the other for my rifle, but I would be scared to use them in a home defense situation.
