Springfield Custom Shop - Bluing Question???

So right now my Range Officer is at the custom shop waiting to have the front serrations added. My plan was to have them blue the entire gun as opposed to parkerizing the slide. I was going to have the flats brushed/polished and bead blast the curved surfaces. Last week I was explaining this to them and was told by a SACS rep that their bluing was no good and to go with Armor Coat or Cerakote.

I am confused to say the least because I based my decision on a very nice blued custom shop model. Has anyone had a bad experience getting a pistol blued by them?
