Lines in a man's life that one doesn't ever cross

There are a few lines in a man's life that another man simply does not cross:
You do not sit on another man's Harley without permission.
You do not swear at another man's wife.
You do not shoot from another man's tree stand.
AND YOU DO NOT FIELD STRIP ANOTHER MAN'S RIA 9mm WITHOUT FIRST ASKING IF IT IS OK.

This weekend I was sitting around my brother's house while a few of us were showing off our firepower to each other and bragging a bit about what we owned. (Guy stuff) My brother was salivating heavily as I handed him my RIA 9mm but soon he handed it to his son-in-law who is a self-proclaimed know it all about guns. He was looking it over as we all talked and when I look over at him, he was in the process of field stripping my weapon without even so much as asking. THIS IS NOT SOMETHING SOMEONE DOES TO THE GUN BELONGING TO SOMEONE ELSE WITHOUT FIRST ASKING PERMISSION.

At first I was a bit annoyed, but thinking he really did know guns like he claimed, I got over it until I noticed that he was trying to field strip a 1911 in the same manner as he field stripped his Glock. Soon he had the slide off and couldn't get the spring out and was beginning to pull and twist things around until I had to step in and show him how to get it apart. Now it came time to get it back together, which he knew nothing about, and things got worse. I noticed that he had a screwdriver in his hand and had it positioned at a strange angle that could not possibly work for aligning anything on a 1911. That's when I took it from him and assembled it myself properly and then put it back in the case. As I was reassembling my Rock I noticed that parts were missing and we couldn't find them until he stood up and they fell from his lap to the floor. Not wanting to start a family feud, I held my tongue, but later I told my brother that his son-in-law had come very close to death.

My brother was shocked that anyone would have the guts to pull a stunt like that on another man's weapon without asking. The best part of the whole weekend came when we went to the range the next day with my 21 year old grandson, who had never fired a gun in his life. His first shot at 10 yards pinwheeled the center of the target and he finished the day by intentionally cutting out the center of the target, shot-by-shot at 10 yards. The self-styled gun expert was humiliated by a total newbie and so was the newbie's proud grandfather who himself could not shoot that well.
