After 550 plus rounds of mixed ball, today I figured it was time to run some Gold Dot's and Speer 230 gr FMJ F.
I loaded up a box of G.D's into mag's and brought another box along with some Speer flat nose out back, the Gold Dots wouldn't chamber a first round, either sling shot or from slide stop, after fiddling and getting one chambered...I might have gotten through one mag without a FTF before empty, kind of wasted ammo after the first two mags, but they were loaded... may as well try and shoot em.
The Speer jacketed flat points wouldn't chamber the first round but cycled ok after that, regular ball cycles fine though.
The mags were WC ETM's 47D's, STI and the ones that came with the Guardian,
all have run flawlessly in other guns and well in this one until now.
It started to rain, didn't bother to pick up any brass...
called it a day
