Anybody tried this WC 160 grain +P Barnes TAC-XP ammo?
I love the Barnes stuff for carry in my 1911s and the 95 grain 9mm works very well in my Berettas. I am curious how this 160 grain +P .45 compares to the 185 grain standard velocity .45. More specifically I am interested in felt recoil comparisons. I currently carry the WC 185 grain Barnes TAC-XP in my GI NN CCO .45 and it has functioned 100%. Recoil is noticeably less than a 230 grain bullet. My thinking is that the 160 grain +P probably feels similar to the 185 grain standard velocity since it is a smaller bullet, but +P. Does that make sense? Anyone have first-hand experience with both of these loads?
The search for the best carry ammo continues..
Thanks all!
