Parkerized vs Stainless Steel

I'm debating this SA Mil Spec. I have another parkerized Mil Spec on Layaway at Buds. I see the SS MS has been in stock for a week or so, its 95.00 more for SS.

Other then looks and maybe cleaning up scratches, are there any other advantages to SS over a parkerized finish? Are there disadvantages?

This one's going to be a safe queen that I plan to send to the custom shop for upgrades.

I'm sure this has been answered many times. I didn't find all the answers I wanted and I'm trying to be more specific to Springfield Armory.
