My 1st & Only 1911 Build

Hellos folks,

After a lot of pictures viewing and video watching, I have decided to build and order a 1911 pistol. I have looked at other gun makers but since I like simple design, Ed Brown has my attention.

I am having troubles deciding between a 45acp and a 9mm, 38super. Any experience with both calibers?

I prefer a carbon steel blued pistol. Will EB build a 9mm or 38s in carbon steel blued?

Naked slide or standard with engraving?

So far this is my build.

Executive Elite
Carbon steel frame and slide
Blued finish
Bomar style target rear site upgrade (not a fan of serrations of the target model)
