Training near Los Angeles

I did a search and could only find info on old classes.

Can anyone recommend a good defensive pistol class near L.A. CA?

I know the Gunsight is in AZ which is not out of the question distance wise but would be a last resort because of the distance.

I would like to find something closer.

A 1911 specific class would be ideal. A local range offers one but you have to take three other pistol classes first just to qualify for it. I will go this route if I can't find a better alternative. The training local to me is from international tactical training seminars at Angeles Shooting Range. Is anyone familiar with or has anyone here taken any of the pistol classes there?
