Custom II Two Tone First range trip...Disappointing!

lundi 25 avril 2016

I have nothing to talk about. No malfunctions, would not shoot high or low and fed everything I fed it with four different bullet types.

Just like my other two kimbers. How boring!

I always liked the look of this gun and noticed some decent prices lately. Partly I guess because of a newer model or a newer name coming out.

I bid on a couple of them on Gunbroker but it kept sliding higher than I thought was a good deal. Finally on third try won one for $640 shipped and then $20 for my FFL.

A really pretty gun and fit and feel is very nice. I took it apart, cleaned and lubed, installed a GI guide rod and plug and went to the range.

I shot Factory Federal HST, Handloaded XTP, Bayou SWC and Xtreme Plated SWC. Never a hiccup of any kind.
I fired about 150 rounds. Trigger pull was nice and smooth and reset even better.
Since I will shoot this in IDPA/GADPA I will add a Fusion magwell and DP FO front sight and that should be it.
Thanks Kimber for another good product!
