Powder measure options

lundi 25 avril 2016

I'm looking to speed up my powder charging process a little. I've used the Lee PPM for a few years and it has served me well. I don't think it meters great, but it does okay as long as I trickle each round. The PPM works great on ball powders and other super fine powders, but I don't use them much. I'd like a measure that meters Bullseye, Red Dot, Trailboss and Clays to a reliable +/- .1gr.

I use Lee dies so I would not be opposed to using one of those disk type measures if they can give better results. This might speed up the process greatly. But I'm not concerned about super fast, I'd be fine with another type like the RCBS Uniflow. If I don't have to babysit every single powder charge when working well under max, that will be more than enough to speed up the process.

I'm not competing so high-output just isn't that important to me, but I do like to shoot 200-500 a month. I feel like I've got a very efficient process for a single stage set-up, but I feel a good measure would make it more efficient. Thanks

Let's block ads! (Why?)
