If you can detail strip your 1911, have a good understanding of the ignition components, some basic tools (a file) and safety checking you can do this yourself. There are mots of videos available to review but do some research. If your not comfortable with this a gunsmith will do it for a reasonable amount. A proper length of trigger for you can make a difference.
