Greetings everyone; I bought this CCO around 1997 or 98 when they were first introduced by Colt. At the time there weren't any regular production Commander length Officer's model 1911s floating around, and thought it was a good idea. I carried it as an off duty gun for a couple of years and then moved on to something else. I recently took it out of the safe to check it out and figured I'd post a couple of pics. The concept seems to have caught on and I see several makers now offer similar "CCO "models. When I bought this it had an offer to send in for a free Colt cleaning kit. The kit came in a black zippered case, with the Colt logo embroidered in bright yellow on it. It's kept in my shooting bag, and gets used regularly. This CCO runs great and is reasonably accurate. When I was carrying it I replaced the thumb safety and slide lock with stainless ones, and wood grips in place of the rubbers. I recently put it back in stock configuration. It probably deserves better pictures but here are a couple.
