Cleaning a 1911 in an ultrasonic cleaner

I just bought a Hornady ultrasonic cleaner, mostly for cleaning brass, but this one is big enough to clean hand guns and gun parts as well.

just put my barrel and related parts in for a cleaning and they came out squeaky clean after 15 minutes.

My question is has anybody tried putting the whole slide or frame in an ultrasonic cleaner? (I'd take the grips off)

curious us as to how it worked out.
