Stainless Beavertail for Stealth Arms frame

lundi 25 avril 2016

Anyone found a stainless beavertail that fits a Stealth Arms aluminum 80% frame "relatively" well. Know and expect some fitting to be required, but most I've tried thus far seem to need more work than I'd like to have, but realize that may just be the nature of the beast.

I'm working on my 3rd Stealth Arms build, and wanting to end up with a brightly polished stainless look for the GS.

I've used their GS before, which fits perfectly, as would be expected being a completely in house job, however it only comes in black oxide. Had thought about maybe polishing it up and then doing a clear coat, but think I'd rather just keep it to a polished stainless. Used a remington GS for my 2nd build, and it fit almost as well, just a little blending needed.

Other than that, grabbed a Fusion GS, but there's a pretty decent gap at the underside of the tangs, harder to put metal in than take it off. Also have Brownells edge, so ordered a few to try, including a Les Baer, S&A, and WC, and all look to need pretty significant fitting, at least 2 of the 3 won't even come close to being able to pass the thumb safety pin through despite being listed as .250 radius, so sending them back.

Anyway, just wondering if anyone knows of any other maker that has one that might fit a little closer out of the box, would prefer to keep it to mostly cosmetic blending and adjustment of the arm for travel and trigger track if at all possible.

Let's block ads! (Why?)
