Anybody remember the Marlin/Glenfield model 50 12 gauge bolt action shotgun (goose gun). That was my first firearm that my dad handed down to me so it has sentimental value to me. I used to go goose hunting up north where we lived with it. Man did it kick!!!! Well my uncle asked to borrow it so my cousin could use it and he cracked the stock. I tried to find a stock for it but there were none to be found and Numrich was sold out for awhile. To get a duplicate stock made would have cost a lot and was only going to be a last resort. Well I got lucky and found a shotgun for sale right down the street from me while searching the internet. They had one that was traded in at Collectors Firearms so I basically bought it for the stock and spare parts. They gave it to me for $150.00 which was half of what they were asking for it. I am really happy that I finally have it all back together again. Anybody out there ever owned one of these shotguns or fired one? They kick like a mule lol. Shooting my fathers old Ithaca Deerslayer 12 gauge was a walk in the park compared to this shotgun. I will do my son a favor and pass down the Ithaca when it comes time and save his shoulder.
