Ed Brown grip safety memory 'bump'

At a recent class I took with my newly assembled Fusion kit, (yes, my first 1911), I occasionally didn't depress the GS enough. A little research led me to file the bottom of the tang to allow the GS to release a bit sooner. Yep, filed too much, now the GS doesn't work at all, (hmm, problem solved, lol). I tried filing the tangs on the bottom of the GS to allow it to come out further hoping that would get the tang down far enough to work, no good so far. ASSuming I need to buy another GS, I noticed the Ed Brown, sounds like their grooved memory bump is designed to help this issue. Does anyone know if the EB memory bump is taller than standard?
