Colt Series 70 "Hardball"? recent purchase question

mercredi 27 avril 2016

Recently I bought a Colt Series 70 serial # dates it to 1972 manufacture. This gun is setup, I believe, as a cmp service pistol aka a "hardball" gun. I am curious if anyone might have any idea who customized it. I can't find any markings anywhere identifying who did. The serial # is etched into the NM bushing, NM barrel the slide stop and is stamped on the bottom side of the disconnect rail along with 4 72. It has had the frame rails lowered and the bottom of the slide relieved as well and locks up super tight (I'm talking every bit as tight as a Les Baer). It also shoots spectacularly and no matter who made it I am extremely happy with it.

Also, any other neat info like who made the NM barrel would be appreciated. Am I correct in it possibly being a Hardball gun?
