Hi Guys;
I think I'm slowly loosing my mind folks. I dug my 1911 38 Super out of the safe for a range trip over the weekend. Hadn't shot it in several years and a friend wanted to try a Super. When I stripped it for cleaning I found two things that I swear I can't ever remember seeing - a shock buff and a green recoil spring. Now maybe - just maybe - my gunsmith left the shock buff in when he tuned it up, but is the green recoil spring correct for a 38 Super? I usually associate it with light target loads in a GCNM. Does Colt use the same spring for both applications?
