Glock Build Question

mercredi 1 juin 2016

So, I've decided to roll my own Glock this summer after struggling between an what features I liked on various striker fired guns I suddenly thought, "Hey, stupid, you have the means and know-how to like...build your own," and thus I say and I thought and I thought about what I wanted in a striker fired carry gun in 9x19mm and ultimately settled on the most obvious choice the G19 first and foremost because Glocks have a huge aftermarket of parts, holsters, magazines, and you guys know all the rest coupled with the reduced size of the gun. I've already figured out what trigger I want, where I'm going to send the slide for lightening cuts, I can handle the grip reduction and texturing myself as well as the undercut on the triggerguard, and the polishing and stoning of the parts but at this point I'm ultimately stuck on the barrel...because my knowledge of aftermarket Glock barrels is less than zero...I really don't want to pay 300 bucks just so I can see the gold TIN through the cuts on my slide (yup, I'm going to be one of those d-bags on the range with window cuts, so sue me) but I would like a barrel that will have better fitment and improved lockup...just wondering which brands you fine folks prefer. Just an afterthought: I'm going to use the lonewolf locking block, I don't believe I'll need to do any fitment if I replace the stock Glock block with this one but perhaps I'm stupid and wrong.

Thanks for any advice well in advance.
